Official Statement from Dr Gladstone Bello
It is with great sadness that I must announce to my patients that I have left both Dr Bello’s and King Street Surgeries as a partner.
I am sorry that I have not made this announcement earlier because I did not want to make a fuss about it until the practice stability, sustainability and succession plans were assured.
I am moving to further my career and a new adventure in another country with my family before I retire.
I have served the NHS for close to 30 years and run my GP practice for over 20 years.
The practices have a plan in place for a seamless transition of care of all my patients and I am sure the quality of care would remain the same.
I have fond memories of all the relationships built with you over the years and would surely miss you all.
I wish you all the best for the future.
Practice relocation - Dr Bello's Surgery & King Street Medical Centre
Practice relocation
From 10 January 2025, all services at Dr Bello’s Surgery and King Street Medical Centre will take place from Acorn Primary Health Care Centre in Blackburn Road.
Our new address will be:

Our Church Street and King Street buildings will be closed on 9 January 2025 to allow for setup at Acorn Primary Health Care Centre. During these times, you will still be able to contact the practice by telephone, with calls answered by our out-of-hours service provider.
Our priority is to make sure you have continued access to high-quality GP services. All staff will be relocated so you will continue to see the same people for your appointments. The way you contact the surgery remains unchanged, including the telephone number. If you have an appointment booked from 10 January onwards, this will go ahead as planned, but will take place at Acorn Primary Health Care Centre.
We know for some people this will be an inconvenience, but we thank all our patients for their patience and understanding.
